Ben began his athletic career as an All-State Soccer Player and All-City Tennis player in high school. He soon tired of such civil sports at the University of Vermont and took to the mountains. At Vermont, Ben skied a minimum of 30 days a year.  If he was not on the ski slope, he
was either on one of the many peaks in the Adirondacks or at Princeton wooing Heather and challenging Rick in basketball.  After graduating from Vermont, Ben headed west to seek bigger mountains. Ben has climbed 15 peaks over 10,000 ft in Oregon, Southern Washington, and California.  Ben competed in the NCC Triathlon in Cleveland, Ohio, Pole, Pedal, Paddle in Bend, Oregon, Big Sur Marathon, Mountain Rage Race in Lake Powell, two Cal Ecos, and the Beast of the East.  During the week Ben is a control buyer. He has worked primarily in retail for Nike, Early Winters, and most recently Williams Sonoma.   But on the weekends he is mountain biking, snow shoeing, mountaineering, surfing, tele-skiing, kayaking or running.  Ben currently lives with his wife, Heather, (P'95) in San Francisco, CA.
